Rear end spring help

Hey everyone. I have a 2007 ford f150 fx2 with tow package. Looking to add about 1" of lift in the rear. Would like to go with either a helper spring or add a leaf. I tow a 3800lbs loaded trailer few times a year and would like the added capacity and dont like the truck to dip so low when towing. Dont want to go the airbag route. Any brands you guys like? Looked at a pepboys china brand. looked cheap and it looked like the u bolt would hit some brake lines by the axle. Seen some skyscrapper but they say about 2.5" of lift. Dont really want so much. Thanks for your help and ideas...

*** I was looking as well at the hellwig springs. Anyone had them or have any reviews?

Procomp makes a wide selection of add-a-leafs. Id look for those first. They are not incredibly expensive.

If you have a spring shop in your area you might want to consider having them just add a couple of leafs to the rear springs. The Ford factory extra payload springs only have one more leaf and are rather pricey imo. I have installed a Add-A-Leaf helper that I had laying around for a few years. I had to fabricate my own mounting hardware as they were a 1/2" narrower than the truck springs. I've had them on for 4 years with no problems so far. When I drop my enclosed car hauler with car inside on the ball, the rear doesn't squat down any farther than my 10,000 GVRW SD did. Ride isn't overly harsh when not towing either.

I had a Procomp short add-a-leaf in my 99 Explorer to get rid of the sag they were notorious for. Brought the SUV back to level and firmed up the ride. Shouldn't cost you more than $200 for a good set of add-a-leafs
