Hey all, usually hang out in the bronco forums, but was seeing if you guys had any thoughts of this.
I'm thinking of building a stroker engine for a 92 ranger. I would like to know what a 302 crank in a 351w would make. Along with gt40 aluminim heads, if possible. Would all this work together?
Edelbrock intake, holley carb and hooker headers.
Thats basiclly what i'm looking at for an engine.
Any thoughts on this would be appreiciated.
I dont think you could put a 302 crank in a 351, from what I understand, the main bearings are different sizes, cuz the oil pans aren't interchangeable.
summit racing & jegs have lots of stroker kits for a 351 w,helped a bro build a 351w for an 89 stang bracket weekend warrior, ended up a total of 428 ci when done with a good spray of nitrous, street drivin car runnin consistent mid 8's & nose lookin for the stars off the line

Hmmm, might wanna toss a cam in there while you're gutting it for a new crank! (just a thought! LOL) Coincidentally though, GT-40 Aluminum heads are going on my 302, along with a CompCam 268H series cam/lifter kit next month. Engine already has Doug Thorley headers, bored .0040 over, Edelbrock intake, Carter 625 carb, Mallory ignition, an AOD, and 3.50 rear gears in a 9".
I'm looking forward to some extra torque to get the heavy ol' boy outta the hole and some extra horsepower... just cuz I gotta have it!
