Sportscenter nailed it. NFL rule says it is not a simultaneous catch if one player gains possession and another subsequently gains possession. I have never seen Mike McCarthy lose his cool like that. I would say I'm done watching until this debacle gets sorted out but what does a multi billion dollar machine care about a small market fan.
Packers won, real officials would've known that. I've got a feeling the Seahawks know it too.
Bad calls and missed calls have impacted many games. Two weeks in a row the Cowboys have suffered MAJOR helmet to helmet hits with no flags. In both cases the penalty could have changed the course of the game. Then add in a ref that throws his hat into the end zone directly into the receivers path...just in time for the receiver to step on it and slip in mid stride...might have caused a season ending injury and may have very well cost a touch down.
But, the bottom line in the Cowboys game with Seattle...they got their butts smooth-*** whooped.
Let's see though. 84 yards total rushing, Rogers having ZERO touchdowns and sacked 8 times....I would have to say that Green Bay got their "cheese-butts" handed to them on a platter.
Pensions are an issue as well as salary...even so, like Copedawg showed, it's a miniscule amount of money when you consider the average worth of an NFL team is a little over a billion (with a b) dollars.
The owners know that people are going to watch and attend NFL games come hell or high water, and as long as that's the case they couldn't care less. This dispute isn't about money, it's about power.
Too bad I had to be at work at 7:00 am this morning and couldn't watch all of the last quarter otherwise I would have had that new TV I've been wanting for the house......my current one would have been broken from me throwing something at it.
I'll bet all the Ref's have been sitting back laughing their ***** off for the last 3 weeks.

Yep. Current pay is at $ 149,000 avg. So money is a small part of it. The NFL want to eleiminate pensions and add job reviews and accountability. Refs? Not so much.
Funny thing is, all of the real refs have full time jobs, or businesses, or practices.
The NFL had to know that this strike was coming. This replacement plan is just bogus. But, they won't even pay for full time pro refs in the first place, so it's not surprising.
If fans want this fixed -- stop buying tickets.
Major league sports in general, the NFL probably the most, have become incredibly arrogant, and with good reason. People keep coughing up the dough, no matter what they do. Nobody in the NFL suffered through all of the recent economic chaos. Even after the mess of a player's strike.
I really like watching football, but it gets harder every year. It's been really tough since the NFL basically demanded a new stadium here -- and got it. (It's true -- the project was on the ropes. Some NFL big shot came to town and said that they would let the team move -- boom! stadium approved. )
I could learn to live without football,
hj
Edit: As for the game -- too bad for Green Bush. Rodgers was sacked 8 times in the first half. They stepped it up in the 2nd, but still only managed 12 points total.

$149,000 for a part time job, how could they possible survive. If they can't survive on that then move on. It sound like there is a new twist in the game for you fans, it is just a game to watch, socialize and have a good tome.
