I've got a 1972 maverick that i've had sitting for a few years that I built the motor and put a three speed in. I'm looking to sell it and a guy at work offered to trade me the car (minus my motor and tranny cause i want to keep them and he doesnt want them) for his 1962 ford f100. It's NOT a unibody and it will be just as my car is, NO motor or tranny. I havent seen the truck yet but he says there is only a little rust in the kicker panels and not one single dent on the truck anywhere. input?
look at it first you don't trade without looking that's a big no no if he is willing to trade that means he thinks he is getting the better deal somehow
Definitely going to look at it first. all i've seen so far is pictures and it looks pretty solid. gotta see her in person so I can look at all those hiding places that cancer looks around. He is so willing to trade bc for one he doesnt have room for a truck to sit around his house, and two bc he has a 65 ford falcon that is a straight six 3 speed car with 4 lug axels. He wants to take the 5 lug suspension from my car and put it under his and the 289 automatic from the truck and put it in his. I like the 60's trucks better than the maverick so if its in good condition its kinda like a "one mans trash is another mans treasure" kinda deal.
I got a buddy that I call a redneck. He trades stuff all the time for reason just as the ones you mentioned. Take my advice, " if it feels good do it"
