Just ordered an F350 V10 auto. Got nothing to do now but wait and study for 8 weeks.
Whats with 5w20? I can't stand the idea. Thought I'd use m110w30. Was gonna use Delvav1 15w40. Any problems about 10w30? I was once told by a gmc dealer that the oil used to certify the engine had to be the same as the oil used (required) after it is sold, and the viscosity doesn't matter.
I even bought an oil filter. Is there a bigger filter that fits?
There's a 2qt that replaces the old FL1.
There is nothing wrong with 5w20 use it or loose your warranty. The FL820S filters are ok too. Remember it's not the size that matters but what's on the inside.

I would have to agree,Why make a simple thing complicated! If ford says 5w20, its good enough for me because if motor fails internally your butt is covered!! The oil filter is more than sufficient for the motor!!
As far as the size issue, you can ask Abendx, I've read in some of the threads here of him being short in certain areas, but everbody still likes him,he has a BIG heart!!
