I dont have any cup holders and it gets pretty annoying if what your drinkin dont have a lid. I made a big bulky cup holder box/ console to go on my middle seat but it likes to flip over all the time and spill ****. Any body have any pics of what they have done for cup holders? I like other unique interior modifications as well.
sometimes the simplest solutions are the best - $10 plastic console screwd to the bump on the floor. Two cup holders and a little area for change, etc.
Well I have neither, wife/girlfriend. and I don't like plastic lol
I was just interested in some interior mods that I could get ideas from cause I like to make stuff rather than buy.
Thought these trucks came with a bracket on the bottom front of seat by the hump for factory cupholder. All my 250's have one anyway. I currently have a wally world console in the middle of bench seat , stays in place, holds lots of stuff and has cupholders built in.
Ha nope no sister but why would that be if I lived in St louis? lol Ill find a shotgunner sooner or later. anyway I didnt see any bracket for anything, theres not much room for anything on the hump either theres a stick there and the shift boot leaves me like 4" from the seat. Ill probably look in some trucks at the junkyard for some kind of center console or somethin. If i do find some im gonna rig up some LEDs in the cupholder so it lights up with a drink in it like the raptor.
My truck has a bench with a fold down armrest in the center and this is what I'm using for a cupholder. I bought it at Wallys over a decade ago but when I was there last week I saw a few that looked very similar to this one that should work.
My truck is a single cab 2wheel drive with a ZF5 and that cupholder fits fine so it should fit yours even with 4x4 as you can see its not over the spot where the T-Case shifter comes through the floor. I did have to put the seat all the way back then put the cupholder there and then scoot the seat up but unless your a short little feller you'll be fine as thats how I put it in my 92 F150 I had way back also.
Don't mind the mess was hauling scrap yesterday and haven't put the straps back where they belong yet.
I took the console out of a ranger with automatic tranny, mounted it on the hump. Made a spacer to get it to sit level. Works real well and I can remove it with a quater turn of the mounting screws. But it is OEM plastic
Yeah, I have a bench I was thinkin of my friends interior for some reason hes got a 40/60 but thanks for the pictures and posts very helpful. and a ranger center console what year ranger did you get it from and howd you mount it?
