I need help or ideas on what I should do to fix my thermometer gage. It’s saying its running on hot but its not looking like it or feeling like it is. No steam or over heating. What’s the easiest way to fix it....? Could I put a thermometer somewhere in my radiator? I just dont want to drain it and find out something else.. Thanks -Heston
If you are referring to the stock temp gauge, leave it alone. They are notoriously inaccurate. Instead, install an aftermarket water temp gauge like one from Autometer.
If not inclined to do that, then use your Google skills and search for a "Thermocap".. it's a radiator cap with a built-in temp gauge. About $41 from Oreillys.:
sender is cheap and easy to replace , it's on intake by thermostat . i'd replace that first , a temp gauge under the hood aint going to do you any good driving down the road .
