I am posting for a friend that called me with a rough idle and poor performance from a take off, NO DTC"S. Once the truck is driving all is normal.
History on the truck: EGR delete (sneaky pipe), New FICM last year, rail plugs done.
To me it sounds like a sticky EGR but then again, the manifold is blocked off but CCV still flows through the manifold. He has not checked FICM voltage and his alternator output appears to be normal, according to the idiot light/gauge in the truck.
A Boost issue could be from Charge Air Leak,Exhaust Leak,Map,EBP,BARO,VGT,MAF,Or Turbo Problem
Boost relies on Exhaust Gas to spin the Turbine so that means everything from the Air Filter to the Tailpipe must work Properly
That Said might be worth throwing your ScanGaugeII on the truck
The only bummer is he doesnt have a fuel pressure gauge but i did do the blue spring for him last year. The contribution test is done how? Specialized equipment or can a scangauge help with that?
