Intake gasket
I am in the process of installing a Performer RPM on my 390 which has stock heads. The Edelbrock gaskets that came with the manifold do not cover all the openings on the head. I believe that the openings in question are heat risers. The gasket leaves part of the opening exposed on the heads, yet it fits the manifold well. Is this a concern? Thanks.

The edelbrock gaskets I have used did not have an opening for the exhaust crossover (of course, neither does the intake.
They are meant for later heads and will not be perfect for a low riser/early style head.
Make sure to use some tacky substance to hold the gaskets in place as they do not have any sorta locking tabs.
