I just bought my new bronco from a smoker. Nothing against smoking..I smoke every once in a while but I'm not really fond of the smokey smell in my cars. I shampooed the whole interior of the truck....much better. My Question is, is there a filter in the heat /AC system that I can change to help get rid of the smokey smell when I turn on the AC or Heat?
Any other tips on how to get rid of the Smoker's smell would be apprecaited.
I remember reading a thread about this somewhere. THere supposedly is an ozone type spray that works well, I forget the name. Maybe try a search? I'm sure someone knows what I'm talking about. Don't know of any filters for the hvac system. I've heard of folks running those air purifier things in their trucks even. Or, get one of those cool pinetree things for your mirror
Ozium works pretty well for smoke odor. I dont know of any filters either. may try some fabreeze in the vents and on the interior. I am a smoker but never smoke with my windows rolled up. I hate a smokey car. If you can get to the duct work, you may try removing them and washing them all out really well....just a thought....
yo,
Hope that smoky aroma isn't leaves or stuff burning in the vent/heater core area. It is common on some years for the stuff to collect and get tinged (forgot what yr you have).
You can up the debris (most likely on the resistor pack).
