Did ya pull it back out or did you cut the head off the nail and drive it all the way through?

That's the amazing thing about it Bill, it didn't hurt and it doesn't hurt. I can't believe it! I looked down and the nail was all the way thru just missing the bone. I pulled it out right away and ran for the camper thinking I would be bleeding all over. Maybe a drop out of both ends and that's it. The guy I was working with had done it too and he said just wait until tonight or tomorrow and it will hurt, it never did. It hurt more to look at it, LOL. Where the point of the nail hit my palm broke the skin and that hurt more, LOL. I've researched it a bit and I guess if you hit the bone it hurts like a bitc!, that's what you did Bill??

Chris, it was all the way through. About half out the one end towards the palm and half out on the head of the nail end. I grabbed the head and pulled it out immediately, wish now I would have taken a picture, LOL

Yep, I was framing a wall, nailing the top plate to a stud and the stud was twisted. I reached down and twisted the stud with my hand and shot the nail in. It hit a knot in the stud and came out the side...right through my thumb

The guy I was with said he had done it seven times!! After getting it wrapped up I grapped the air gun and went back to work, haha. He didn't think a 62 year old fart would go back to work after that, LOL. I still can't believe it didn't hurt, all the splitters and cuts hurt worse!!

This guy helping me is a finish carpenter and a rough carpenter, has been all his life. Only seven screw ups in 35 years isn't to bad, I guess. I know nothing compared to him. I also can't believe how many carpenter tools he has.

If you had stopped to take the picture the shock might have worn off and then pulling it out would really be fun. I hate it when stuff like that happens.
