Looks fair. Looks to have a little lift. Go check it out. You cant judge a book by its cover. Make sure the engine aint knockin or water in oil, etc, etc. Try to play with his price to get it lower.
the what looks like dual shocks in the front, mean it has a towing package right? what else does that include? and where are major spots to luck for for rust besides frame, wheel wells??
Check the red link in my signature for details about what to look for when purchasing one of these trucks.
The tow package included the auxiliary (forward set) of front shocks and most often the "supercooling" radiator which is a four-core unit. It also has larger transmission fluid cooling capacity. Front and rear sway bars were part of the tow-package as well however, if the truck has been suspension lifted, one or both may have been removed to keep the sway bars from limiting articulation with the suspension modified.
IMO it really depends on a lot of things.
I mean if it needs new radius arm and pivot bushings, ball joints or other suspension work it might not be worth it if you can't do the repairs yourself.
Look at it very carefully, inspect bushings, exhaust, ball joints etc. Hell I have pulled tires off of trucks I was thinking of buying to check the brakes and ball joints.
If he doesn't want you to inspect it thoroughly walk away, it has issues.
No fender rust, no tailgate rust, no saggy headliner, seats dont look busted, interior actually looks really nice.. the bumper isn't even sagging really bad.
Just about everything on Broncos are relatively easy fixes.. even balljoints that can be a pain are easier than most other vehicles I've dealt with.
I dunno about Bronco's value where you're at, but seriously, if I was wanting one and saw that here for that price, i'd jump on it quick.. of course, if the motor wasn't knocking or anything obvious like that.
The towing package also included an oil cooler between the oil filter and block. Not sure if quad front shocks were included or another option. Check for oil blow by pulling the air filter and checking the bottom of the air box. However, the 5.8 at 129K would have to be really abused to show wear, it should just be broken in good. Check ATF color and smell. Ask if the E4OD transmission had the upgrade to make it better. Pulling codes may help your price negotiations. Drive it and check for wander..loose steering. This may be a very good purchase.
Looks like a good deal to me, id say go look at it and check everything out as everyone has mentioned, my honest opinion id offer him 1500-1700 cash and see if he jumps it could be worth the chance!!
