1986 heater / ac controls
Hi guys. I noticed that my heat/ac is stuck on vent and the ac is always running. I can slide the lever back and forth but no change. I looked at it and it looks like it had a cable attached to it , but i don't see any cable around and it used to work fine. Does this only work on vacuum? And did I do something wrong or forget to do something when I did the dsII conversion? Thanks.

Are you sure it's stuck on vent? Or is it defrost. Most of the time it gets stuck on defrost, because it's lost the vacuum supply under the hood. If that's the case, maybe a vacuum line got knocked loose when you were working under the hood. The vacuum line goes through the firewall over on the pass side firewall.

Yeah , it was stuck on vent. And stuck on ac.well I had the radio out to look at it and it worked just fine. I put the radio back in and it quit working again. I'm guessing something with the radio, wiring, or the antenna was interfering with the vacuum valve moving. It works fine now.
