Exclamation 6.4 Squeal at medium acceleration

Got it!

My truck squeals at medium throttle. If i floor it I don''t hear it, same with soft acceleration. This sound happens from about 1700-2500 rpm. I have seen that this could be the downpipe leak? and if it is, is there anyway to check because i dont want to go through all of that trouble for nothing.
it sounds like its coming from right behind the engine
Any thoughts?

down pipe or exhaust would be more of a whistle.

Are you sure it isn't a belt or pully?

So check your down pipes. Look for soot.

Do you get an exhaust smell in the cab during regens?

Not really...maybe it is just misaligned. I think it is a bear to get in there.

Yeah i checked the boots, thats what i thought it was, after the belt. I took a picture of this piece of an exhaust clamp or something, missing a bolt, so i think it could be that?

possible to be related. but until you are confident you found the issue i would keep messing around trying to find.

As I understand it the truck runs fine. Just a whistle so time is on your side to keep troubleshooting.
