Forgive me but I am new to my Bronco and don't know much about it.
I do know this: It won't start. I turn the key and get a click. I went and had the battery checked and it was fine. My next thought was the starter solenoid, but I have also hear that there is a starter relay. Where are these two things located and how can I check to see if they are the problem.
Year, engine, ect. would be nice. But let me take a swing at this anyways.
The starter relay is mounted on your passenger side fender toward the front. The pos. battery cable bolts to it.
The starter relay is basicly a solinoid.
First off, you should clean and make sure your battery cables are making a good connection. You would'nt beleive how many cars get towed into the shop just for corroded battery cable ends.
If all is clean, then your starter solinoid would be the next place to look. Turn the key on and get a 4" peice of wire for a jumper. On the solinoid, there is two 3/8" studs on either side and should be one small #10 stud facing toward the inside. Jump the small stud over to the stud facing toward the firewall. If the engine cranks over, then replace the solinoid, they should be no more then 10 bucks.
Sorry for the long post.
Hope it helps, good luck
Your year has the relay on the fender, and also a solenoid on the top of the starter with a second relay on the back of it. You'll have to test each of the relays, but it's most likely the battery terminals or ground wire.
Mine did the same thing and after testing the starter solenoid I realized that my starter had just seized up. I banged on the starter a few times with a hammer and it started like a champ.
