When Charlie said ''drop the oil in a pan'' what he meant was ''drain the used oil into a drain pan'' by removing one drain plug , there is a drain plug in every motor pan.........

Barry here is a decent set that they have. It is small and you can add on to it as well.
Even inculdes a small tool box to store them in.

HAHAHA- he meant to DUMP the old oil into a pan placed UNDER the truck. Actually is has to be a BIG pan. WalMart has them available. The 7.3you have holds a LOT of oil.... don't remember exactly..... do you have the owners manual? Maybe 12-14 qt. Charlie knows for sure...he has one. Mine is a 6.0l engine. Holds 15 quarts!!!

Bud it is 14 quarts. Just checked online. Should get a drain pan with at least a 20 quart capacity to leave a little space leftover.

Wow. What a good chuckle this morning.... I ment DROP THE OIL INTO A DRAIN PAN LOL.

You will also need a larger filter wrench than a normal oil filter takes.

Maybe for the first oil change, you might better come visit one of us for the first change, that way you will be better know the procedure, and what tools are required.

As far as the brakes, they won't let it pass if there's not at least 10,000 miles left, so that's a non emergency, but something that needs attention soon
