Ok every one, Im new here this is my 2nd post, I have my "99" F150 XLT 4.6ltr. 4x4 supercab short box, 4 wheel disc and antilock.
All has been well or sorta, passenger side front wheel bearing went out, put in a new one complete with new Antilock sensor and wire.
Now I have issues, Ok the 1st thing I noticed was when I turn on the head lights it stalls, starts rite back up once the lights are off, 2nd thing I noticed was the radio LED and time display goes dark when I hit the brakes but the radio still works, 3rd thing I noticed is if I have the turn signal on and hit the brakes the LED radio display blinks with the signal. I do see a amp drop on the gauge when I hit the brakes and the engen sometimes coughs.
I know the theft device has been removed and the odomiter is an on and off with bumps in the road so maybe something under the dash is amiss? Or a module of some sort, alternator? Battery is stong but there was excessive acid built upon the positive post.
I cant see this being related to the antilock brakes but it may, the antilock warning light is still on and clearing the DTC's doesent help, neither does my Super Chips tuner display any DTC errors HELP Please!
Thanks for the replys, Im still cleaning and reinstalling the ground leads, Im not really interested in a pay site yet, if I need to pay I will take it to a service center. So far no help, I cleaned the copper ground on the passenger side frame to body as well as a large cable on both sides, 2 that are connected to the firewall, still looking for more.
Ok success at last, turns out it was the ground for the drivers side headlight, I seen it has had issues in that area before, and the person used a quick connector the kind that punches thru the wires housing/skin, so I rewired that secured with some solder and taped it up, truck runs fine again.
Thanks all
