brake line question

I have a 77 f-150 4wd with disc brakes on the front. I just bought this truck a while ago and need to bleed the brakes. I was bleeding the fr and checked the master cylinder. Instead of fluid being drawn out of the front like I was used to it pulled it out of the back reservoir. Is this normal? All of the other trucks I have worked on the front brakes drew fluid of the front. The front line on the master cylinder goes to the back on the proportioning valve. The lines look original. Also you can get them switched because they are different sized fittings. This truck has never stopped good. Is this the reason why? How should the lines go? Thanks.

The primary (Front Brakes) reservoir is the LARGEST one & is usually closest to the firewall.

You didn't bleed this way:

RR - LR - RF - LF ?
