engine noise

My truck (250-v10) recently developed an annoying engine noise. There is a constant low pitched ringing sound coming from what seems like the upper portion of the motor. I brought the truck in to have a tech take a look. The tech replaced the Tensioner, Belt, and Idler ASY-AC. The noise went away until the following day. Anyone have any idea’s what could be causing the noise, the help is greatly appreciated.

My first suggestion would be the bearings in your alternator.

Thanks waxy, but I forgot to mention the tech switched out the alternator with no good results. Also forgot to mention this truck is an 03 w/only 1800 miles.

Altenator ,waterpump.fan clutch,pwr steering pump.

take the belt off and run it without it for a few minutes just watch the temp.

some off us have had pwr st noise
