I'M NEW TO THIS SITE AND I'VE GOT A PROBLEM WITH MY '93 F150,AUTO. 4X4 IT STARTS TO MISS REAL BAD WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE AFTER SLOWING DOWN - FOR EXAMPLE COMING OFF THE INTERSTATE ON THE CLOVER LEAF AND START INCREASING SPEED TO MERGE ON THE NEXT HYWAY. IT STARTS MISSING UNLESS I DOWN SHIFT TO 2ND AND THAT SEEMS TO HELP BUT STILL MISSES. HAVE REPLACED THE PLUGS AND WIRES HAVE BEEN RUNNING INJECTOR CLEANER. ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED.
If this started recently after a fillup with gas you could of got some bad fuel.Only time will tell. If it is and has been consistant look for a vacuum leak around where the plenum and the intake are bolted together.Mine missed when accelerating till someone told me about the possibilty of a vacuum leak. Found the gasket between the intake and the plenum leaking between two cylinders.Replaced the gasket and I was happy again.hope this helps.

Check the dwell on the distributor. It may be that bushings are worn and time for replacement. I'm experiencing a similar problem on my 94 F150, but haven't had a chance to check the distributor yet.
