Question Recommend A/C Repair in Fort Worth

Hi all. I have a 1989 F150 with an R12 air conditioning system. It blows air, but the air is not cold. I want to try to get it serviced, not replaced with a new system. I found one shop called Christian Brothers near Hulen Mall which is supposed to work on R12 systems. They are only open M-F. I have not heard anyone speak of them before, so I have no idea if they do good work for a fair price or not. Any recommendations for shops in Fort Worth that could do a good job for a fair price?

Thanks. : )

Jeffery's on 377 in Watauga is pretty good too, but like Christian Brothers; It's open M-F only. Most places will want to convert you over the to the new coolant and it will likely be much cheaper. Might not work as well as the old R12, though.

Thank you for the info, Sam. : )

You're welcome. I wish I would have looked at where Hulen Mall was. It appears we're at opposite ends of Fort Worth. Wish I would have had something closer to you.

You can convert to R134A cheaper, It will be just as cold when done right. All it requires is some new O-ring seals, new oil, new Drier and a good vacuum and your fixed up. Most this can be done with basic hand tools. Just have someone pull your vacuum for 30 mins then fill with R-134A. Do not use any of that sealer crap, it screws your cold air temps up.
