2012 tundra, the 6.0 was draining my bank account, I started having 30 deltas a couple weeks ago and knew it was time for all the bulletproof stuff
Nothing wrong with the Tundra except for bed bounce. Look it up. Perhaps it's fixed by now, I'm not certain. I know it was a major issue though.
Unfortunately the 6.0 was a terrible motor to base your Ford diesel experience on. I'm not really supposed to say that on here, every time I do my post gets removed as if I'm making it up.
I was at a local Powerstroke diesel shop to myself the other other day. One of their own mechanics made the fool hardy mistake of paying over 10k for one of those. He actually even drove to another town to get it.
Himself being a mechanic and fixing nothing but those monstrosities all day long he deserves to be out that 10K IMO, which he now is as it sits in the parking lot waiting for repair, again, blown motor.
I had a 7.3, it was a great motor. I looked at some new ford f-150 and 250's before getting the Toyota, just wanted something different after having 3 fords.
After having this 7.3 diesel I can't see myself ever owning another F-150 (or any other gas motor truck), which I had one for four and a half years. It was a very, very faithful truck but comparatively it's a girl's truck.
Thanks alot for the kind words guys, I'm changing jobs oct 1st, and this truck does exactly what I need it for. I will miss my big diesel, if I had 6k laying around and some downtime to get her in the shop, I would have kept her. My new truck will be easier to park at job sites and I just plain don't have to worry about any Maintanence like on my 6.0.
Thinks I will miss: 4x4, leather and power seats, the big awesomeness, the room in the crew cab, the power of the diesel
Things I won't miss: the giant u turn radius, all the Maintanence, the noise, the cost of diesel fuel, hearing my wife complain about getting in and out lol
