F-250 or F-550 need help
i just got a 2001 f-550 with 73k miles in great shape with a work bed on it. should i sell it or should i sell my 1999 f-250? i do a lot of work ranging from cutting grass to wiring houses working on trucks installing gen sets tree removal and more, i do all kinds of work. i all was have tools and junk with me most of the time pulling a trailer and my 250 gets 14.8mpg most of the time and the 550 gets 13.2mpg so not much loss. i would love to keep both but money will not allow it, what do you think?

i dont have time nor money to stretch it, all though i would love to do it.
it gets better mpg if i dont go over 55mph, at 65mph the rpms are 2500.
i know how you fill if i put my tools in the 250 there hard to get out and keep in the right locations, the bed keeps all the tools handy and organized.
im trying to keep both but dont know if it is any option right now.

You can just let it sit for now with no insurance and not registered and when the time comes for when you do have the money just get those 2 things and your good to go. Of course start it once a week and drive it around the yard or block just to keep the fluids moving. That will give you more time to fix whats wrong with it if any.

That is sad, but only you can decide what your financial situation is, Hopefully you can make some money off it, that never hurts... I know when I bought my F450 i had to completely change insurance companies. There was a lot more to owning it then I thought there would be. I love working out of it. That being said, if I had to purchase the fuel for it, I would have it up for sale yesterday. I go though about 300 a week in fuel right now just in that truck.
