Hello I bought a pyrometer and going to install it soon. I have a couple questions where would be the best location to put the probe? Best place is going to be in the manifold. Mine is between cylinders 6 and 8. Lookin at less then 200* sitting ideling, 4-500* crusin down the highway. Under heavy load it will climb fast. I would not break 1250 for more the a few seconds. Usually if I'm hitting 1150 I'll back out of her.
