Propane in our trucks is very touchy. I dont' think you'd gain much from having it, so removing it wont hurt anything.

You can use the tanks from a forklift. You may have to change out the connection on your feed line to get it to hook to that tank.

you can only use a forklift cyl if tour system is a liquid system , if it is a vapor system them a forklift cyl will not work.

Most propane injection systems use liquid propane. Once injection into the intake it then turns in a vapor. The design of the tanks are different, IIRC the vapor propane is drawn out of the top of the tank and the liquid type is drawn out of the bottom of the tank.

Look at the tag that should be below the valve on your existing tank, it should say liquid. Make sure to mount your forklift tank securely and you will need to add the female forklift connector to you existing hose so you have a quick disconnect to change out tanks as needed. Some of the ag systems from years ago had a vaporiser that tied into the water jacket and used engine heat to vaporise the fuel. There are some newer systems that directly use liquid. I am learning alot about Diesels but I do know propane.
If I can help let me know.

Regards
