I hit a skunk this past weekend and bent the steering stabilizer shock on my 2002 F350. Now the steering feels sticky when I turn to the right so I plan on removing the thing. Any thoughts on whether I should replace it or just go without?
Try it with out it.
Your steering will wander a bit more than your use to. But after a while you may not even notice that its missing.
If its hard to get used to get yourself a replacement. As the shock should only put you back less than 50 bucks.
Well, I took it off and haven't noticed a difference (except that the steering no longer sticks). I'll probably replace it since I think it's covered under roadhazard insurance. It's $50 for a new shock through Ford so no biggy.
It had a big tail and I was told it was most likely a skunk. No carnage to prove it though as the truck is spotless.
