ND Bill or any of ya. Could this truck be for real? Or just a clone thing titled as a 66? Would the vin tell? That is a sweet truck. I wish they had posted the vin and other info. I am tempted to call.
It might be titled as a 1966, if it was sold prior to 1/1/1967. Back then some states registered vehicles in the year they were first sold, not by their actual model year.
You would think that the seller would know better than to advertise it as a 1966 1/2, as 1967 is a totally different body style.
The seller stated "is currently registered on a non-op" I'm thinking it is a made up truck from several & has no title that can easily be used to sell & tag.
He is out on the left coast in La La land. Mr. Wilson can give a rundown on what would be required to make it legal.

Squaw Valley is no more close to LA LA Land than Creedmore is to Knoxville.
Squaw Valley is 350+ miles north near Lake Tahoe. Squaw Valley is where the 1960 Winter Olympic Games were held. I'm not driving there to look at it.
The truck does have a title because it has Non-Op registration. You cannot get Non-Op registration without a title.
Non-Op: The vehicle is not currently being driven (non operated). It's the right thing to do, cuz when it's registered, there won't be $$$ in late fees that would occur if the vehicle was not Non-Op'd.

I knew you could deliver, Mr. Wilson. Non-Op would mean something totally different on the right coast.
1 exception please, La La includes the whole damn state.
NOT A CHANCE IN Hell. The WHOLE State is NOT LA LA land. I still vote every splitting the state into North and South when ever it comes up on the ticket. When your talking about LA LA land, your talking about the Calif version of the BAD LANDS. And I don't mean mountains. Hell, Bill has to make use of that CCW when he goes out. 44 mags make a BIG BOOM. Sorry Bill, just had to...... lo)
Doesn't that truck also have an extremely rare, '69 Ranger grill minus the blacked out headlight bezels? Extremely "rare" indeed, especially on a 66 1/2.....just sayin'....
