OK... that's got to sound very, very good! I'm highly addicted to truck **** (first step is admitting it) so if there's any video out there of your truck running please share! Have you posted engine pics recently? I remember drooling over a nice clean one like that on FTE not that long ago. If not compliments to you as well.
One thing about this site you can get some very good advice. I got advice a while back from Wayne (52Merc) When using a shroud, the fan should sit half in/half out the shroud opening so it draws the air out of the cavity. At the time I elected to wait till I put it on the road to see how it would perform. After the last two days of driving the truck around I was experiencing the motor heating up more then desired.Today I went ahead and ordered a electric fan to allow having the fan blade set in the correct location without moving the motor. Thanks for the info Wayne
Also thanks for all the nice comments guys. One thing about these trucks they so can turn heads going down the road.
Congrats on your progress, Jack, and thanks for the kind words. Just so you know, you can use a shorter fan spacer to bring the fan back and save the cost and hassle of adding the electric fan. Alternatively, you can modify the shroud as necessary to fit. Bottom line is, there should be plenty of room to utilize the conventional fan.
