NEW EXCURSION FOR ME... WOOTWOOT

Hello All. After 3 or so months of looking for a Excursion in good shape with decent miles, I found one. its a 2002 Limited with just under 55000 miles. These things go quick around my parts so when I found this one I had to jump on it. In the last 4 weeks I have called on 3 of them that have sold in under 24 hours of listing(so did the one i just bought). Dealer I got it from will be putting new brakes on it this week. The rotors are warped. Also they will fix the side vent windows. I hear and see the motor for them working but window wont move out. At first I thought they might be stuck to seal but after a quick look that might not be the case. Any who.. its in great shape with low miles just what I was looking for. Found the door key pad number already due to the great info on this site. Just wanted to chime in and say hello. I will try and post pics as well.

Thanks all! Sounds like you already looked for the code under the dash? I went with the "remove the garbage bag hook panel" method and found it back there.

V-10---4x4 ... and I get 20 MPG......J/K lol

Just found my oil dip stick to either be loose or cracked at the clamp that holds it down. Probably cracked. After reading a couple post doesnt seem to fun to replace this. Might save it for my mechanic. Also last manifold stud is snapped as well. I dont hear any exhaust leak, Yet. Also another job that just doesnt seem oh so fun to tackle. But after a few hours under the truck and under the hood this is all I can find that needs attention.

Wow, that is a sharp looking EX!! What a nice find. Unbelievably low miles. I thought my Ex had low miles when I bought it (66,109) but THAT is ridiculous! Can someone tell me how you would own a beautiful Ex like this and NOT DRIVE IT????

Congratulations on your find, you did well. I have owned mine for about 18months, but I remember driving 100 miles sight unseen to buy it. The dealer didnt' have time to put photo's on Autotrader before I snatched it up.

Oh, and you get extra credit for posting PHOTOS on your first post!!!! Nice Job.

Sincerely,
Karl.

Check in the tech folder, it tells you how to find the code your self.
