i just found a crack in my flowtech header, and planning to replace them. have shorties now, want full length. whats everyone running? not much to choose from for a 87 5.8
I dont know anyone off the top of my head who is selling long tubes. Any reason why you want them? Shorties are so much easier. http://www.proficientperformance.com..._ford_f-series Theres some for your app. I have some Bassani HTC headers on my bronco now, and I love them. Well constructed, and will bolt to your stock exhaust.
im doing away with the stock exhaust system. i have flowtech shorties that have 80000 miles on them, but one has a crack in it. could weld it but dont care too. i dont have to worry about emmissions testing so smog pump and cat is gone. long tubes make better torgue than the shoties. flowtech and hooker and dynomax have long tubes availible, but i was looking for stainless. im not worried about cost, it gets written off as cost of running a business.
I just received my Hookers today in the mail. The build quality is nice on them but I think they will choke out your truck.
They have 1.5" primaries and a 2.5" collector a bit small for a 393. I'd call Kooks and see if they can make you a set. I'd go with a 1.75" primary with a 3" collector to make the most of your setup.
