Exclamation 2002 excursion 5.4 problems

hey everyone, im new to the site. and having some problems with my truck....first off i bought a 2002 excursion and drove it for one day. then i was at the car wash cleaning up the truck. then i saw the window fogging up so i turnt the car off. now it wont start. i had previously installed a new stereo, but had some problems, so i ran the remote wire to the fuse box, because the wire in the harness wasent getting power.. so after a little trouble shooting we found out that the fuel pump wasent working or was bad. we replaced it, now it has pressure but will not start, will start with starting fluid but will not crank on its own. someone told me it may be a bad PCM? and a dealer can only replace it...i don't have tons of cash, as i bought this truck on 8/30/12 and this happened the day after i bought it. the previous owner has paid or the fuel pump replacing but i dont think its right on my part to have him pay more money as this may be a mess up on my part with hooking the radio up to the fuse box... we have tried the fuses, realys, crank sensors and im stumped guys...need help

Maybe your fuel pump relay is bad? Sounds like it's not getting fuel, since you said it does start with starting fluid.

Well it has fuel pressure, I can press the valve on the fuel rail and its getting fuel... A friend said the injectors aren't firing? I just hope its not a PCM issue...I'm totally stumped

On the 02 7.3l I drive, the theft light is at the top of the cluster... A fast blink is not normal and means that the PATS antitheft system cannot verify that the key in the ignition is allowed to start the vehicle. If you have other keys, try those. If it still doesnt work, it'll probably have to go to the stealership to get reprogrammed.

Edit: its basically a little red light that says "theft" and it blinks slowly (a quick blink with a long pause) when the vehicle is parked and not in used. When you first put the key in and turn the ignition on, it will light steady for a couple seconds and then should go out. If it blinks rapidly, it means theres a problem
