Weekend project
finished! Front end was CLINKING like crazy due to a failed passanger side front axle u joint. Replaced that ujoint with a greasable u joint. New needle bearing, dust seal, knuckle seal on passanger side as well. Greased the main wheel bearings through the abs sensor holes on both sides. Cleaned and greased the lockout hubs. And did new slotted and drilled rotors with ceramics on all four corners + pins boots and hardware. Went fairly smooth aside from a couple frozen slide pins that took some serious pb and heat to free up. The u joint was kinda a pain with out a press or a vise. A couple pressure treated 4x4 and a 3lb hammer did the trick. Took 9hrs total that includes prep n put away of all tools. I am pretty sore today though. Wrenching these superdutys that live in the salt infested northeast is rough.
