so now I wait.....
I also did the fuel crossover from Riff-Raff. At least the plugs came out easy for me! (I bought a set of craftsman 8 point sockets from amazon for $17) Came out super easy - and a good excuse for more tools.
Now I did not mess with the IPR - did not have a correctly sized socket - and it was not leaking or anything. So i mounted the pump in the soft jaw vise with the mounting surface pointing down per instructions and then removed the non-serviceable plug. Cleaned with brake clean and a ton of Q-tips to get the threads clean. Did the locktite and installed. Hopefully the ball stayed where it is supposed to!
So now I am waiting until around noon today to fill the reservoir and start it and check for leaks. This will be 24 hours for the loctite.
Wish me luck!! - but at least now I can probably do it in 1/2 the time!!
But i found a trick. With the belt off... spin the fan as fast as you can manage... the socket should roll around inside the pulley and then roll out the side. Took me just 2 spins and it rolled out.
Xtof
