I gotta say, it's a pocket rocket! 180hp, twin turbos, awd, haven't ever felt that kinda acceleration ('specially in a 'scursion).
Great pics Bill.

180 hp in that little car? Wow, that is definitely a pocket rocket. Hope your mom doesn't lose her license LOL.
Bill, sounds like you had a great mini vacation. I have never been to the grand canyon, but want to go there when I get my trailer. Good pics of your trip.

Great pics, Bill. I know a guy that just bought a house a little up the road from where you were at near Cedar City.

I'll bet we crossed paths out there sometime on Friday, Bill, as we left Winslow Friday morning headed east.
Or maybe we got to Gallup before you guys did.

We went through Gallup sometime between 1330 and 1400, so you may have been sitting there sipping lemonade or something.
Or, maybe not....

Finishing packing to head back up to Santa Barbara to start off the shook year. Spent about a month and a half in Ventura hanging out with the family and working on the truck so now it's back to school time. Takin some of my tools with me because I actually have a single car garage to store and work on my truck in. Can't take the welder and the grinders but hand tools can keep me plenty busy

Discovered this morning that somewhere in the last 150-or-so miles I blew an outer hub bearing. Luckily we had already unloaded the trailer and parked it in the lot here.
Run down to the center that we rented these RV trailers from and show the counter guy what I'm up against.
He doesn't have one, and says he can order it, but that there's a guy in town that builds custom trailers and hitches. Off I go to Roadrunner Trailers in Eureka, MO.
The guy determines that it's a simple 5-on-5 hub and asks if I need the bearings, too.
Tell him bearings, seal, washer, nut, cotter, and cap.
He goes into his back room and brings out a complete, greased assembly and the small parts. Only thing he doesn't have is a zerk for the speedy-lube axle. $86.00 and another few bucks for grease and a zerk, and I'm back in business after slowly and carefully sanding off the small burrs the outer cone made on the spindle.
Man, was I ever lucky, as this could have happened on the road somewhere really remote!
