Hello, I am a lng time member and reader, but have never had to actually ask anything, due to all the knowledge in the threads on the site. I am stumped. My wifes excursion was hard to start on tuesday, it finally fired. She drove to work, and it will not start. I went and bought new batteries, as the old ones were getting weak, still no start. I checked voltage while cranking, it is 11.3 volts. I have swapped the IPR off of another truck of mine, and the cps, still no start. There is no smoke at all. I have checked and we have fuel. The injectors are not firing. I have 12 volts the idm, but for some reason, it wont fire. I ahve checked every fuse and relay. I have unplugged the ICP sensor, no change. Does anybody have any ideas, or is there anyone near Millsap Texas with AE that can plug in and see what is going on? Thank you for your time. Lee
How many miles on vehicle and how much fuel is in the tank? Do your RPM's move when cranking the engine? Have you done the UVCH 50 cent mod? I would check the HPOP level and oil level in engine. Has it rained or have you recently cleaned under the hood with any type of water/cleaners? 11.3 volts is low for brand new batteries. at 10.8 volts the injectors will not fire.
thanks for all the help. I did find the issue. the pigtail for the ipr, about 6 inches up, was eaten into. Go figure. I am thankful I found it, but now I need to fire all of my barn cats. Thanks again
