Question mirrors

i would like to put the stock (repo) mirrors on this truck (48, 49 or 50 ?), but dennis carpender's cat. says you have to grind the hing for it to fit. since my truck is already painted that's not good. anybody know of mirrors that fit without grinding.

You shouldn't have to grind. It is held on by the hinge pin and a screw. I think those mirrors had the screw. Mine did anyway.

i thank the repo. is not perfect and the hinge holes too close to clear the hing. i may just get a set and see if they fit.

Glad you finally know what year. Well the previous owner of my truck thought it was a 49 but it is a 51.
