Well now comes electrical issues
So first of all I found out alternator is bad. So gotta get that replaced. But does the charging system have any effect with fuel mileage? So is there any tips with replacing alternator? And since taking that out gonna replace belt also. But other question I have is bought some replacement led taillight bulbs. When I installed em they started smoking. But don't smoke with regular bulb. Any thoughts on that?

Where is it smoking from? and did you install a resistor along with the leds? I know that some wiring in older vehicles needs the resistor otherwise cel/wiring issues can occur do to the lack of a resistor in the led.(i could be wrong on all of this, but remember a rather large issue about wiring and leds without resistors)
