Snow,
No...that's not my driveway...thank god with how much snow we get...LOL...that's the street...I'm actually parked in front of our neighbors house since they have a "straight" section of road as we live on a cul-de-sac...he was drooling over the coach the afternoon after we got it...came out asking if we were renting it...dropped his jaw when we told he we bought it...
We're "camping" this weekend...although it is an extreme "rough" way to camp...LOL...
So...we are in Pierceton Indiana at a Jellystone park...
So...I get to the campground and check in...a "ranger" escorts me to our site in a golf cart
we pull up to the site and it I pull forward and angle across the road to swing the *** end towards the site and I see two parked golf carts in the site across the street (there are lots of "seasonal" sites in this park...)...so that the swing isn't going to work...and I talk to the "ranger" and tell him this isn't going to work...
At this point the neighbor guy is out (seasonal site) and says "that is the biggest unit we've EVER seen in that site before!"...boy that helps the confidence...LOL...
so...I have to straighten up into the road and then I have to back down the road and there is a cross street adjacent to our site that I have to back down with a 90degree turn backwards...which I do...then I have to pull forward the opposite way (essentially making a 'K' turn)...then I have to back back down the road and swing into the site...
Our neighbor was watching the whole time...and as I got myself lined up backing into the site...I leaned out the window and said "so how am I doing for my FIRST TIME?"...he said you're joking right?...I said no...seriously this is my FIRST TIME...he said "holy cow you are doing amazing!"..."I would have hit everything in sight!"...
So I get it into the sight and the "ranger" said the same thing that he couldn't believe this was the first time with how much backing, turning, backing, etc I did without ever leaving the road or having to pull forward to straighten up, etc...
So...my first experience involved a "driving test" so to speak...and I can report I believe I have passed the first test!
Backing this thing is MUCH easier than backing ANY trailer I have EVER backed...and I've backed quite a few over my life...can't imagine having to make "K" turns with the 31' TT...but the coach...man it is just like driving the Ex on steriods!
So how's everyone doing tonight!
Joe.

Lookin' good Joe! I can see you behind the wheel now!
Not surprised you can wheel it just fine. I've never driven a MH, but have driven a few box trucks in my day, much easier than a trailer. Don't get cocky tho, you hit a tree and add a stripe and you will have to get issued some wraparound sungalsses!

We're headed to a semi local Jellystone about 40 miles away for the shake down run...
I plan to get there fairly early since I'm a novice coach driver and the campground is sold out for the holiday weekend!...I want to give myself as much room as possible!
My 2 teenage girls are each bringing a friend...so we'll have a bus full of estrogen...even the 2 pups are females...I will be totally outnumbered!

Sorry about the Estrogenfest !! That type of thing is why I told the wife I'll always have a male dog. So I don't feel so alone. Being in a sea of estrogen just makes me confused.
But the UP side is you now have a really COOL new toy to play with. It should keep you busy for awhile...Figuring everything out

Hi Joe! It`s always fun finding a new site and messing with everyone! I assume you are as good as I am backing and towing, so it obviously was a piece of cake. Our Labor Day site is on a small lake that I nose into (me and my buddy so we face each other). when I pull in though I need to go the wrong direction to pull in. after 4 years you`de think the same people on the corner would stop telling me I`m going the wrong way!!!!LOL
I always surprise everyone when I back out of it with all the TV`s around in one shot. and that is when we get there before they do.
I`m hoping we can get together next year. I`de like to see the new "coach" (that is the proper term ya know ) and get to meet face-face!
One of these days I will have to post my video of me backing my 28foot TT up my cousins driveway in MT. his driveway is about 500 feet uphill with a dog leg about 200 feet into it. and then a tight right hand turn down to his house. that was very interestingto do in a Dodge conv. van. I only needed to pull forward twice!
I take it the new RV shakedown went well? No hickups? all systems functioning normal?
