Bent push rods
Just a little history on the truck. I got it about a month ago, haven't driven it much due too it needs alot of work. for starters, The truck runs great! its runs really smooth. It does have an aftermarket cam, its a 77 f150 460. I noticed two push rods (extremely bent) and 2 lifters just hanging out in the vally. They both belong to cylinder #8. What caused this? valves adjusted too tight? over rev? One of the lifters seemed "locked up" I took it apart the didn't see anything bad, than put it back together and now it seems fine. I didn't find any flat spots or damage too the cam, or to the valve stems. It does run great though! I never noticed any kind of a miss.
