I tell ya what...If I could, I WOULD!! It's already rained once so far today, and we're expecting rain again this afternoon and tonight!! I love SW Florida in the summer!! They say that's the cost of living in paradise.....I'm starting to question the cost!!!

Well today was boring, I moved TGM to the lawn so I could work on my Bug and drive it. BUT this weekend I will be doing a quick dusting and wash on both vehicles and they will go win everything in the car show on Saturday The bronco is ready for the show besides the layer of dust on it. Once it's cleaned up a friend of mine will come down and I'll "train" him how to operate it, then he will rive it behind me in the Beetle about a mile away to the show spot. He has never driven anything this big and this old so I want to let him take it around the block and get used to everything before I let him go on his own.

I spend $4 in gas just starting TGM up But, I know what you mean. I got my VW in hopes I could get some 20 mpg and live on 1 tank for more than a week. Although last I checked it got 12 mpg with it's various fuel leaks and engine issues, it's still better than TGM's 6 mpg. My mom would have a heart attack if I ever rode a motorcycle so for now, that won't work .

Today I pulled the trigger and ordered all new audio equipment. Kenwood head unit, Infinity Reference 6.5's for the front and 6x8's for the rear. Everything should be here Wednesday. Want to keep the interior looking as stock as possible.

While I have the driver door panel off I reckon I'll tackle the door lock actuator. I have an old neighbor that owns a Motorcraft parts store here in town, quoted my $32 for the part.

Yeah like what the hell is up with these gas prices, they were sitting nicely up here at about 3.35/gal and over 2 days it jumped up to 3.60/gal. I saw a gulf station in the area that i work at work 3.95/gal

Yeah I completely forgot it is caused from all the political bs going on in Egypt right now when we only import 1 or 2% oil from them. I was reading that the keystone oil pipeline may cause oil prices to rise for consumers in the midwest for a while then oil could possible drop 50$ a barrel and gas could go back down under 3$, sounds appealing but I got a feeling that it wont happen

Man, I'm really trying to refrain from comment. Yes, these fuel prices SUCK!! Here, gas is about $3.69 and diesel is $4.00 or more!! I'll just say this administration is so anti-oil that it is not going to get better anytime soon. As Forrest Gump says, "That's all I got to say about that!"
And now.....all I did is install a new idler pulley. It was only $14 bucks! Yes, the first one I got was the wrong one. It was $18 bucks. So, I saved a little $$$. My tensioner isn't here yet.....should be tomorrow according to Fed Ex tracking. Yes it rained again today but I didn't care!!! I got it done before it started!!

All I did to mine today was clean out the back and put what I am keeping into plastic totes, so they don't roll around or jump up and down when I go 4x4'ing.
