7.5 timing cover replacement
Replacing broken timing cover and old water pump with new ones on 96F250 7.5l. Should I throw away the paper gasket that came with the timing cover and just use an RTV type sealant, or should i coat both sides of it with a bead of sealant? Decisions, decisions.

Id say get a New Gasket Set, and also do a Bead of RTV thin on both sides

Use a new gasket.
Don't fill the convolute grooves in the cover with RTV.
They keep a failed water passage from filling your crankcase and give you a sign that something is wrong.
