Drain the smelly gas (wear gloves, the smell cannot be washed off, lasts for weeks!) out of the in-cab tank by removing the rubber hose at the left (drivers) side under the floor pan, then take it to a radiator shop and have it boiled out.
But, be aware that once the tank has been boiled out, it may resemble Swiss Cheese.
The tank has been reproduced by Blue Oval Truck Parts (Anaheim CA), available from all the repro parts sellers.
Neoprene rubber tank liners are available as is a solution that coats the inside of the tank. But if badly rusted, you'll be better off replacing it.
