AC Filled

Well my AC has been working, but i thought it should be better.
I did the ranger heater line valve and adjusted the air gap.

It would only get down to 50 degrees here in lovely ventura by the sea, at a whopping 79 degrees out.
when i was in Bakersfield last weekend in 105 degrees, it would only get down to the high 70's.

So after a few calls over the week to a good friend who works on AC units on homes, cars and semi's, semi trailers and commercial freezers, I took my truck to his shop today. We checked the pressures at idle and they looked very good.
Then he said we need to check them under load.
I took the rpms to 1500 and held it there. We needed the system to cycle. and once it did it would click in and out about every 8 seconds.

We added about a pound of freon and the in and out interval slowed down and now it's blowing a frosty 38 degrees..

RE-FRIDGE-ER-A-TOR........ Nice... I also had to add some freon to my truck too, the clutch was constantly clicking on and off and blowing warm. Used some cheap hoses with the help of a HVAC tech, my F.I.L.
