Jim & Eric, that rv show sounds great, not that I need a new one either but I like to look,

Paw Don, I wish the snow only lasted 2 or 3 days up here, we're more like 5 months of winter, ugh

I've been in this house for almost 11 yrs and the only time I've had any snow was in Dec of '17 and that lasted one day!! No snow plows..snow blowers or road salt needed down here!

Yup!! Got that baby going!! So, with that, I whittled out a dead center with a #2 Morse taper to fit in the tail stock from an old 1 inch bolt. At first it fit good, but looked a little crappy so I went to work making it look better, and now it doesn’t fit at all.......screwed the taper up!!!! LOL. I have more time than anything else!!

I guess I can still whittle something else just for fun n games!! LOL

Back from the RV show. We walked over there a bit before noon and got out after 4 pm. I'm beat. All the trailers begin to look alike after the first 30. I avoided the salesmen but picked the brains of anyone that was a manufacturer's rep or a technician (there was actually one on the floor).

Dumbest thing I saw were the friction hinged doors. No latches to hold it open. Tested for 20 MPH winds. That's considered a breeze in Wyoming.

Dumbest thing anyone said was that the 3200 lb slide-in camper could be easily carried by a 3/4 ton diesel truck. Instead of telling him he was a ******* I just walked away.

The big show here is first weekend in February. I'll go and check things out, but I'm pretty happy with ours right now. Be paying more attention for mod ideas and walking thru accessories/campsite stuff.

I saw quite a few residential fridges. Not something that I'll likely be using since I prefer to boondock.

I think it was the Northwoods rep that said the max solar that could come from the factory was 340 watts, which was two panels. I asked that question a lot. For some, they simply didn't know. Others, they said to plug whatever you wanted into the "solar ready" outlet. Sorry, I want fixed panels. I did see one trailer with a very thin solar panel that was curved to match the curved roof. That was cool.

We walked through a 600K Class A diesel pusher. Nice, but not my style.

I was hoping to see more accessory vendors. Nope. There was a lady selling fire starters. We bought some. Very cool, easy start, very effective and well controlled.

Happy Friday guys! It's been a LONG week!

Don, keep plugging along. No telling what would happen if I was on the job. That taper may have looked like a sway bar, lol.

Jim, good call on avoiding the sales staff at the RV show. I could not imagine being an RV sales rep. Gross.

Eric, nice snow. Share please? I live in snow country and we have no snow. I want snow.

Gerry, I hope you get an early spring and we get half of your snow and Darren gets the other half.

Chad, OMG so jealous! Nice Rubicon! It's been too long since you shared a snap of it!

Good morning Andre' and the rest of the gang on here!

Got down to 42 this morning but clear and not too windy...ought to be nice when the sun is out. Ought to be a great playoff weekend with the Saints and the Eagles playing at the Superdome Sunday evening. I think it will be in the 30's Sunday but they are playing inside the dome so no weather problems. Years ago they played at the old Tulane stadium where they also had the Sugar Bowl every year but that stadium was demolished. Was tough to watch a game there in September when the temps were still in the 90's and humid. Hope everyone has a great day!!

Chad, I see that owners of Jeep/Ram are getting a check from Fiat to encourage them to get the software updates to fix the emission cheating on their diesel engines.
But it appears to be on the Ram 1500 and the jeeps. So not the heavy duty pickups.
