On one winter Scout campout we were not happy that the kids were taking a whiz right outside their tents. It was pretty easy to track down one culprit since his name was written in yellow in the snowbank. Ironically, his name was "Drew".

The winds are down some to about 35 knots/40 MPH, 2C/35F and the seas are down to about 4 meters. Tropical heat wave, NOT!! and we are definitely a rocking and a rolling.

My taxes will be interesting this year, month and a half in Texas so no taxes there, 2 weeks in new Jersey so they are going to get me then there's the big one for being in Canada for 5 months so foreign taxes. The US does give a tax credit for taxes paid out of the country but our company has us sign an agreement that they pay our foreign taxes, they pay for our tax preparation, and we give them back the foreign tax reimbursement portion of our tax refund. I have to agree that it really is their money. It was nice one year because after the figured my taxes I owed because payroll didn't withhold enough from my check for US federal so they paid me what I owed that year so it does work out in the end.

Howdy all. Taking advantage of a break in the weather today to get some things done outside. Got down to 18 with snow flurries during the night. Supposed to get up to 36 today.

Yesterday evening - trying to fill in the bare spots under the tree.

This morning just before the sun rose above the trees…

Sun is getting here. Guess we’ll see how much melts off today.

Howdy all. Decided I would shovel some snow this afternoon. Got dark before I decided to call it quits. No sunny sea shores here.

Howdy guys. Happy Sunday.

Great pics!

I am not even going to talk about taxes, doubt you guys would believe what we pay up here in trudeauland anyway.

Took a few hours of walking in the woods but we found a decent tree this year.

I have not used my snow shovel once this year Jim. Really sad. They say the las 4 months are the driest in history LOL.
Man I hope we get some snow!!

Have a good day everyone!!

Doesnt look like your snow shovel has any better heater on it than mine does!😁

Of course, since I broke down and plowed a 1/2 mile of driveway, sidewalks and pole barn apron yesterday, they changed the forecast. They are now calling for warmer temps and rain showers. We are up to 35.4 here and the Pass summit just west of us is at 38, showers & reporting pack snow and ice breaking up with a slush surface on road. The ski resort there is probably a long way from happy right now.

Latest pictures.....

Headboard area for the bed. Once I put on the 2nd coat of paint, I'll build the headboard.

Changing topics a bit....what do you guys recommend for holster for CC on a fat guy? Too much of a belly for appendix carry. Thinking something in the small of the back? There are a ton of options out there.

I have a Fobus holster for my Ruger SR9 9mm (full size). Thought about getting one from the same company for my Ruger LC9 (concealed) size. They're made in Israel. Quality is first rate.

I’ve been using an Uncle Mike’s inside belt clip ‘nylon’ for the Glock 17 & S&W EZ9. Usually small of the back with angle cant to the right.

Have others for large frames like the 645 & 1911 but I don’t carry those much anymore.
