So I left Blue skies ( although cold at 35°) and flew into Long Beach Friday to see my daughters. Over Cast grey cloudy day. So I was wearing a NFR jacket,. Left it at my daughter house when I flew home today. So arrived in SLC and my truck has been cold soaking in the parking lot for two days. I've got no coat and have to go find my truck in the long term parking. Get it started and drive for 5-6 minutes until the seats warm up and we start to get some warm air. Now I have to fly back down to get my jacket.
While at my daughter's house, We get a pounding on the door. The neighbor says the house behind hers is on fire and embers are falling on the roof. So we run out and grab a hose and start spraying the roof. Fire department arrives and starts fighting the house fire behind her. Lots of smoke. steam and noise. As they start to get it knocked down, They are on the roof with saws cutting holes in the roof to get in and put out the fire in the attic. My daughter, of course, is freaking out because her restaurant burned in November and she is reliving that.
Oh well, glad to have a quick trip to see the kids and grandkids

Happy Monday guys!
Sorry it's so depressing for you Gerry... it's one of my personal favorites.
We had our Tuba Christmas concert last night. I love this concert!
There were a total of 97 Tubas, sousaphones, euphoniums and baritones! Lots of big brass. They are all over the US this time of year. If you hear of one advertised, check them out. This is my third year going and they are very enjoyable.

Good morning everyone!
Andre...my 18 yr old grandson plays the tuba in his high school band. I'm sure he would like listening to the Tuba Christmas. He also plays the sax.
Wife had the whole family over Saturday for an early Christmas since we're heading for Houston to her sister's house this weekend.
In the mid 40's this morning and damp with the humidity still hanging around.
