Eric..didn't know a rebel flag was allowed in Ohio!!

I'll go as far as say BSA seems to be a willing participant in the self destruction.

Thanks for the kind words and support...

LOL Darren at "like I don't get enough of these people" I love it.
Go big or go home on the tree fort! That's not a fort! That's a tree mansion! When does sparky and the tin knocker show up?

If it's Level and Plumb, Then did all right. Not sure how you level a project that is always moving.

I had a temp agency send out some day labor today for clean up. Project is a pig pen.
8am a 60 something lady shows up saying the agency sent her out. I'm not against women on construction sites. But not what I had in mind to climb down into an elevator shaft and throw out garbage from the masons. I usually swing by Home Depot and pick up one or two day labors. But that means I have to pick them up and drop them off and pay them cash. The agency sends out labor who can drive and sends me a bill at the end of the month. Not sure which is worse.

8 weeks until I have to be done. Sheetrockers are hanging the west wing and tapers are taping the east wing. Roofers should finish the roof tomorrow. Most of my windows are in and the store fronts are coming later this week. Might be able to lock up next week.

Spring is over. Should hit 91 today. at least it's only 15% humidity

Congrats to the Boys Andre Nice project.

Darren, are you sure that tree "fort" isn't actually a hunting blind?

That is just family history pride. My great great great uncle served in the sometieth Louisiana regiment back in the day.

While the above is actually true, it's too much of "Don't tell me I can't have something" is why it's there. Besides, I see the flag drive by quite often in my neighborhood.

Is that an attempt at the understatement of the year? This was the weekend the boys built something that will forever be ingrained in them. Very nice job, hope they practically live out there having great adventures.

Were you able to find something for that lady to do? At least she was willing to show up for a days work.

.
Thanks Eric. The kids are pretty happy with it. Made me a bit proud when one of the neighbor kids said "Uncle darren, you sure did a good job on that treefort. It's awesome, we love it"
The kids helped the whole time, I was never working on it alone. It was a great time for me as well.
Something I will never forget.

I spotted this while wandering through the clearance aisle at Walmart. Reviews aren't stellar. They had about 8 more at that price.

Good morning everyone!!! Hot and humid this morning with an 80% chance of rain. Washed both vehicles this weekend so that brought rain for sure!!
