Good Morning everyone. In Oregon now... We are beat. Looked at UCSB and UCSD in 2 days. Lots of driving and flying. Going to hang out around Eugene today and probably hit the Oregon Coast and redwood forest tomorrow since that's a big bucket list goal of ours. And my Son wanting to do Marine Biology -- kinda makes some sense to go that route.

Opted for the AWD SUV over the low to the ground car... Hope I don't need to see just how good or bad the Jeep AWD system is.

Hope everyone is dong well.

Drive it like you stole it! Or, drive it like it's a rental car. Same thing.

Certainly a different vibe in Eugene than in SoCal (and Anchorage for that matter).

Went to the Cascades Raptor Center and the very talkative lady behind the counter reminded me of Jim when she talked about Eugene... And I saw two of my "brothers in blue" taking a drunk/stoned "mighty duck" out of her car and tossing it by our hotel. It was 1pm. This was the different vibe part though. Just the way interaction with people in the town and at the hotel were.

Not a fan of the Fiat Jeep (Trailhawk Compass) - but it fits the bills as the roads are narrow and the parking tight.

Evening guys. About to turn in as I'm whooped. Two shifts of being up in the middle of the night makes an old medic grumpy.
Got pics of the turbo change going on in the truck. She's getting a new EGR cooler too as the bolts broken off in it. The problem may have been multifaceted as the wastegate is extremely hard to open. Apparently the turbo wasn't the only problem. Should have it back in a couple of days. Night gentlemen.

1. Really? I knew there was more than just my opinion!

2. I can't believe that. In Peugene? Seems pretty late, you sure you didn't look at the clock wrong and it was really 11 AM?

I'll have to call Dan or Jim down there at EPD and see if they have been getting lax in their patrols.

Have a wonderful trip to the Redwoods. It's a very beautiful trip through there!

If you have internet on your phone, Oregon has www.tripcheck.com. You can check your route for delays or problems and view cameras of the roadways in some areas. They also list local temps and there are weather stations you can pull up.

Daughter wanted me to keep the 4 yr old Dennis the Menace today because of tonsillitis. I've got a doctor's appointment to get my COPD checked out so that got me off the hook. I've been having a nagging cough and mowing the lawn yesterday didn't help. Lot's of pollen in the air with everything blooming. Need to make a run to the bank to get a certified check for a down payment on the trailer. Hope all of your patient's today will get better soon!!

54 F here in Houston this morning when I left for class at 7:00 AM, supposed to be up to 70s today then rain through the weekend. We got the missionaries coming for dinner tonight, was going to take em for dinner but couldn't find anything in the area that we wanted so darn the bad luck, they'll just have to suffer through having to eat T Bones with baked potatoes and fresh corn on the cob with Ice Cream for desert.

I was hoping to go do some high speed hole punching Saturday but we're doing a presentation for the church, we're doing a presentation about being prepared for if your spouse passes unexpectedly. Me and the pretty little blond were both widowed when we met. Maybe next weekend.
