My Big laptop was in a down status for awhile..... Suspected the ribbon cable between the on/off switch and the motherboard.......
Finally got to it yesterday..... Ribbon cable wasn't well seated in the tiny connector on the motherboard. More time taking the damn thing apart then it took to fit it.

Happy to have the nice laptop back in operation.... Very fast and big 17" screen........

In my basement wood shop, I put down commercial 12 x 12 tiles from Menards. Color all the way through and about an 1/8th inch thick. Cuts easy and sweeps up well. Has stayed stuck to the floor for the last 14 years. I roll heavy machines around and I like this flooring for the basement.

If I were to do it today. I would put down the vinyl floor planking from Home Depot or Menards. Great modern wood look selection and also thick. Some of it just snaps in place and is not glued. If you need to remove this down the road, easy to remove. Under $3 a sqft. Most people cannot tell the vinyl product from actual wood. Looks so easy to install. Should be warm to the feet.

Having a meeting about the next meeting Tim? (disgruntled govt worker comes out again......)
I appreciate everyone's input on the floor. I like this idea best. ^^^^^^ The Wifey did bring up the garage floor finish....Open for debate.

The meeting was talking about seeds and farming. I had a Gov't job for 5 yrs. so I understand what you are saying.

May I ask what is the red car on top of the shelf in the second pic ??
Tim, That was my very first car! I was green before being green was cool. It's an electric Italian Bimbo Racer! My mom won that car for a buck, by looking at the date on the manual, I was one and 1/2 years old. How about that for a young age and owning an Italian sports car. My dad built the custom bumpers on it, apparently I was good at going forward but wasn't good with the breaks.

I saw the words "Bimbo racer" in the email notification and thought, "Hot chicks and hot cars!" So disappointed with reality.

I had a Mustang version of that. I used to play demolition derby with the kids in the neighborhood. The other kids had Big Wheels. I had more protection with the Mustang.
