On the topic of runaway engines though, I'm putting in my air shutoff valve tonight. Like a fire extinguisher, it's one of those things you get but hopefully never ever have to use.
Starting off with the dash switch.
Cut out the plastic honeycomb, dremeled, and drilled with a step bit.
Yeah I have an obsession with SJOOW cable.
Just need the Lamicoid 'ESD' plate to complete it.
The contact block is a normally closed contact, and this is a push-pull switch, and the solenoid requires a positive trigger, so you pull on the mushroom button to activate it.
I figure that works out nicely as it greatly reduces the chances of accidentally activating the shutoff.

Not sure what that truck was fueling off of to keep running to destruction.My son took the PAS off his truck that he got recently, it doesn't see any fuel in the air. Looking them up online they aren't a cheap addition to a truck.
